Chandigarh Housing Board has made a significant move by approving a six-month extension of the property transfer policy specifically for General Power of Attorney transactions. This initiative aims to help property buyers from before 2011 who haven’t managed to complete their registrations. Those eligible can now establish formal ownership with necessary paperwork, along with a proposed one-time interest waiver of Rs 20 crore benefiting around 14,000 individuals.
